I have a TC25D with turf tires and loader. When using the loader for heavier loads (700-800lbs) the front tires really squat and almost seem flat. The front tires are at 22psi which is the maximum rating given in the owners manual, how much more can I comfortably raise the pressure?

Chris, your tires should be embossed with a max inflation pressure. My front tires are 45 psi max and that's what I keep in them. That's also what my dealer recommends. ....

Chris is right. My TC29D has the same setup (turfs & loader). The book *and the tires* say max 22 psi (I just looked). Chris, my dealer had 'em inflated to 28 on delivery. I questioned him about that, and he said that was their standard practice for turfs & loader, and they'd never had a problem with that. I compromise and use 25 for loader work, and let them down to 18-20 otherwise. (Less pressure = consideribly softer ride.) I don't use the loader much, so that works OK for me. ....

Curious thing. I just checked the Firestone site and found max front tire pressures about 24 lbs. However, my Ford owner's manual gives a load table for up to 10 lbs. I wonder if the Ford engineers decided to use only half the load table because the front end or wheels they used aren't designed for higher loads. Or, maybe the tires stop acting like turfs at higher pressures.

Even so, the tire loads at 10 lbs. still carry about what the loader will lift. Guess the front end probably will last longer if I don't push the loader weight too much. ....

I have noticed the same situation on my NH 1720 w/7308 Loader. I have the front tires (ag) inflated to 26# and they look almost flat with a load in the bucket. I have not been able to locate the max. psi anywhere on the tires. Am not concerned with a "softer" ride, just don't want to over/under inflate the tires. What psi should I go with? ....

I run 35# pressure in the font tires on my 1710. Tires are 6 ply-rated but I still get nervous when inflating them to that pressure. Regards, Dave. ....
